Beko Washing Machine Not Draining
If the water in your machine does not drain, you may have a problem with your drain hose. Make sure it’s not clogged, folded in half, or stretched too far.
It may also be blocked by a filter. If you’re comfortable, open the filter housing to inspect for dirt or clogs. However, be cautious that there may be water within the housing when you open it. Use a tube to drain the water, or alternatively, lay a container down to catch it or prepare a bundle of rags to catch the runaway water. Replace the filter after rinsing it. If you don’t feel comfortable troubleshooting and fixing a faulty washing machine, it’s always worth consulting an engineer.
Beko washing machine not spinning
The type and level of load you’ve placed within your washing machine could be a non-mechanical issue impacting its capacity to spin. Avoid overloading or underloading your machine regularly.
Also, if this is a problem you frequently have, avoid washing heavy woollen items like towels in the same load as extremely light things. If it doesn’t work, try removing the filter, rinse it and clearing away any debris that may be blocking it. When you open the drawer or door to accessy our filter, you risk allowing water to drain from the machine. Take the necessary actions to prepare for this.
Washing Machine Won’t Start
If your Beko washing machine won’t start, take these steps to reset it:
- Find the buttons for start, pause, and cancel
- For around 3-5 seconds, press them all down at the same time.
The steps above should fix your problem but in case it doesn’t work, you’ll have to hire a professional engineer.
Beko washing machine stuck on cycle
Being stuck on a cycle is one of the most prevalent Beko washing machine problems. These are potential causes for your machine being stuck in a cycle.
- You may have set your machine to “hold wash” or “rinse hold” by accident.
- You may have mistakenly selected a night cycle program, in which the machine starts to cycle after a delay.
If you’re certain that neither of these are the case, it’s possible that the usual culprit, the filter, is the cause of the issue. Locate it, remove it (as always, be prepared for any water that may be in the compartment), and clean out any stray hairpins, loose change, dirt, or the like that may be clogging it up. Rinse and replace as needed.
The door won’t open
If the door to your Beko washing machine won’t open the first step is to double-check that your machine isn't still full of water.
If the drum is full with water or if there’s still some water inside, the fact that your door won’t open could be a safety precaution meant to keep you from getting a soggy kitchen or utility room. For your own safety, there could be some dirt or detritus in the filter causing this mechanism to activate and prevent the door from opening.
If there is water in the drum, remove the filter (carefully, as water may be released by opening the housing), rinse it, and replace it as described above. This could be stopping your machine from draining and, as a result, your door from opening.
If the drum is empty of water, you have to troubleshoot your Beko washing machine some more as there are several things that could go wrong.
- Faulty pressure switch - the machine has a pressure switch that tells it when the cycle is finished. If your machine isn’t working, disconnecting it from the wall for 10 minutes should solve the problem. This will correctly reset it.
- Broken interlock - If that doesn’t work, it’s possible that your interlock is broken. Unless you have the necessary abilities and experience, diagnosing this condition is extremely dangerous. You’ll probably need an engineer if the simple “on again, off again” approach doesn’t work. Otherwise, you’ll have to wedge or wrangle the door open, which is a simple method to shatter it.
- Faulty hinges on a top-loading washing machine - your washing machine’s lid hinges may have worn out. Even if you’ve accurately detected the problem, you’ll almost certainly require the services of a professional to replace them.
